KIDS 4 CHRIST – Program Details

Kids 4 Christ is a program for 3rd through 7th graders that is rooted in Scripture and focused on helping children grow in their faith. Our goal is to create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment where kids can learn about God and build a personal relationship with Jesus.

Each meeting includes:

• Bible-based teaching and discussion
• Games and activities
• Fellowship with friends
• Snacks and time to connect

Through Scripture, encouragement, and community, Kids 4 Christ helps students grow in faith while having fun and building lasting friendships.

YOUTH GROUP

Teens from Grade 6 and above gather weekly to share fellowship, build lasting friendships, and engage in meaningful discussions on relevant topics, all within a scripture-based Christian environment.

KIDS COOK!

 Kids Cook is our fun, hands-on cooking series just for kids, meeting once a month.

Each time we gather, kids make a delicious snack that ties directly into that month's Bible story. As we measure, mix, and taste together, we learn about God's love in a way that's creative, memorable, and fun.

It's perfect for young chefs of all skill levels. Kids leave with full hearts, happy tummies, and a Bible truth they can share at home.

This program is both a children's ministry and a community outreach.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

 Sunday School - A place where children can learn God’s word during Sunday Service. Children are dismissed prior to the pastor’s sermon to learn a biblical lesson targeted for their age group. We mix fun, scripture, crafts and snacks to create a kid friendly environment where we can share the love of Jesus! 

CHILDREN'S MOMENT

 Every week during the church service comes a favorite moment — a special children's sermon just for the young people in the congregation. It's a cheerful time for discovering God's love, enjoying Bible stories, and seeing how God's Word fits into everyday life. With simple lessons, friendly conversations, and fun examples, each message is kept light, encouraging, and easy for little hearts and minds to grasp. The hope is that each child will grow in faith, grow closer to Jesus, and let His light shine brightly through their words and actions. What a delight to be part of this ministry and to cheer on the next generation as they walk with Christ! 

THANKSGIVING FAMILY BASKETS

 Every November, we come together for one simple reason: to make sure no family in our community has to go without a Thanksgiving meal.

We team up with the guidance counselor at our local school to find families who could use a little extra help around the holidays. Each year, they quietly share a list of names with us so we can get our Thanksgiving baskets to the folks who need them most.

We put together full Thanksgiving baskets for families in need — turkey, stuffing, veggies, cranberry sauce, pie, and all the fixings for a real holiday dinner. Each basket is packed with care and delivered with love in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

This whole thing runs on generous donations and awesome volunteers. Whether you donate food, chip in a few dollars, help us pack, or deliver baskets, you're part of bringing some comfort and joy to our neighbors.

Because Thanksgiving is all about sharing — and no one should spend it hungry.

CHRISTMAS FAMILIES

Every December, we do what we can to spread a little Christmas cheer around town.

We work with the guidance counselor at our local school, who lets us know which families could use a hand this year. That way we can get everything where it needs to go — no fuss, just quietly helping out.

We put together food baskets with all the good stuff for a Christmas dinner, and we grab gifts for the kids so they have something fun to open on Christmas morning.

It’s all powered by folks like you. Donate some food, pitch in for gifts, help us pack and wrap, or lend a hand delivering — every little bit helps make the holidays brighter for a neighbor.

Because that’s what Christmas is really about — looking out for each other and sharing the love of Christ with those around us.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 

Each summer, our Vacation Bible School opens its doors wide to the children and families of our community for a week of faith, fun, and friendship. With a different fun theme each year, kids enjoy engaging Bible lessons, uplifting music, creative crafts, games, and snacks that bring God’s love to life in a fresh new way. It’s a safe and welcoming environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged — more than a summer activity, it’s an outreach of love, sharing the hope of Christ with our neighbors one heart at a time.

Led by dedicated volunteers from our congregation, VBS is offered free to all families as a gift to our community. Whether it’s a child’s firs time hearing a Bible story or a returning friend growing deeper in faith, we strive to plant seeds that last far beyond summer, building lasting connections with families and inviting all to be part of our church family throughout the year.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Through Samaritan's Purse we assemble and send gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By filling these shoeboxes full of toys and other fun items we become part we become part of giving boys and girls what may be their first gift and first encounter of Christ's love.

HELP & HOPE MINISTRIES

 We actively support this ministry both monetarily and hands on. Since 1993 they have been helping meet the needs of Cumberland County residents. They provide food to those in need, currently serving over 1,200 families a month.

Nursing Home Ministry

Our church is honored to serve the residents of New Standard Living Senior Center each month through our Nursing Home Ministry.

We gather on the first Thursday of every month at 2:00 PM for a meaningful time of worship and fellowship. Residents join us for

 •    Joyful hymn singing

 •    A powerful, hope-filled message

 •    Holy Communion

 •    Fun and engaging activities

This ministry is a beautiful reminder that God’s love reaches every season of life. The smiles, stories, and shared moments of faith are a blessing not only to the residents, but also to our volunteers. Those who serve often say they receive even more than they give.
